Meet The Founder

Crystal Melendez, the founder of Design DNA Studio, was born and raised in a small town in New Jersey, deeply influenced by her Latin American heritage. Her passion for design was ignited by her upbringing; her father worked in construction, and her mother had a keen interest in interior decor, which she pursued in her free time. This familial influence inspired the name "Design DNA," symbolizing the deep-rooted connection to her family's love for creating and enhancing spaces.

 

Since 2017, Crystal has been making waves in the design industry. She has had the pleasure of working with prominent figures, including athletes from the NFL and MLB, as well as various celebrities. Her expertise has been sought after for projects in notable locations such as Manhattan, Hoboken, the Bahamas, Jamaica and beyond.

 

Crystal's dedication to her craft is evident in her meticulous attention to detail from start to finish on every project. She is committed to continuous learning, taking additional classes to master the latest installation materials and techniques.
